The handy manual

Project Overview
The Handy Manual, an general knowledge almanac from the 1860s, needed a little refurbishing. This project looked at exploring different narrative storytelling components while also maintaining a cohesive structural identity.
My Contributions
Roughly 24 hours and five reprints were needed in order to satisfy the design requirements and expectations. The Handy Manuel was designed in Fall 2023 as a part of a series of objectives at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Overseen by several peers, this project was formative in providing a foundation for experience in publication design.

Adobe InDesign and Photoshop were integral to the creation process of this book. Another main component in the exploration of this work was the ability to make a website or page completely readable using small print.

The challenge proved quite difficult. The book is roughly 5 x 5in and making the lettering legible and easy to access was a lot of trial and error.

My peers were incredibly supportive during this project, and without their feedback, this project would have been immensely more difficult.
